A stunning private residence on Cornwalls North Coast.
Working in collaboration with both client and Cornish architectural practise Catchfrench Design, SkinFlint Design were involved from the inception of this modernist masterpiece on the beautifully scenic cliffs of the North Cornish coast.
The six bedroomed residence spreads across three main floors. Planning constraints restricted an increase in building height so additional floor space was achieved through sinking the ground floor within the cliff face. The challenging roof line, double height living spaces and minimal ambient light levels throughout the ground floor, posed several lighting design challenges.
A measured lighting scheme subtly integrated within the buildings fabric and comprising of fluorescent and LED sources, cleverly emphasises the architecture within each of the buildings core areas.
The end result, a fantastically individual and unique scheme befitting the superb architecture and stunning coastal location of the property.
