skinflint joins the ‘Circular’ podcast
Our skinflint co-founder Chris Miller joins author and journalist Katie Treggiden for the launch of Season Two of her podcast ‘Circular’ - a concept we’re of course rather passionate about. This season, the focus is on repair.
Exploring the intersection of craft, design and sustainability, we’re very pleased to be invited into conversation for the podcast alongside other doers and makers of the circular economy. Elsewhere in the series you’ll find intriguing discussions with the likes of Jay Blades, best known for presenting BBC’s Money for Nothing and The Repair Shop, and Christoper Ræburn, ethical fashion designer and founder of the label Ræburn.
As Chris says during the episode: “Empathy, nurturing, caring… these qualities are inherent with the concept of mending and restoration. Fundamentally you have to care about these products that were built and made to last... their stories, their heritage, our environment and our planet, in order to invest time repairing them.” The conversation covers the advantages, and challenges, of moving to a circular based and carbon-neutral company, and we hope the episode sparks wider discussions with yourselves and others.
The episode airs on 25 May on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and more. Follow the link below to download the episode.
