Spring is finally here, brightening our homes and breathing fresh life into our spaces. What better way to usher in longer, lighter days than with the launch of our new Nuanced Neutrals collection of vintage lighting, full of salvaged and restored finds from the 1920s to the 1970s.

There’s no denying that vintage lights make a statement in your interior. But with nuanced neutrals, we’re celebrating the understated finer details that only come about through authentic history and heritage. 

So with Czech glassware, it's moulded or cut-glass patterns that create interest in our retro spotted pendants, vintage Czech hotel lights or crosshatch wall lights. Or, the subtle variances in decorative opaline glass globes which only come to life when they’re illuminated (patterned opaline adds extra drama in our zigzag wall lights or affectionately named orange segment lights).

Elsewhere, it’s about the storied patinas that develop over time on surfaces of materials such as brass, aluminium and steel that add true character, as seen on our Hungarian decorative globes and Bulgarian factory pendants. Ceramic isn’t an obvious material choice for industrial fixtures, but when utilised, its mottled and crackled appearance is always alluring. Our 1950s steel works Simplex pendants, and 1970s Czech opaline ceiling lights are a case in point.

Translating this into the wider interior space, nuanced neutrals is all about adding an extra dimension to a neutral colour palette through varying textures, tones, patterns and materials. Think exposed beams and plasterwork, exposed or semi-painted brickwork, lime-wash walls, aged reclaimed furniture, and textural linens. From sand tones to muted pinks and blues (as seen in our styling), it’s about bringing a relaxed feel to your space, evoking a sense of calm and connection.
